This time on technogiantz we have something interesting for you. You might have come across a website, picture or a animation on the web that you thought of setting as your wallpaper for your Android device but you ultimately gave up that idea as there’s is no default option like this on Android OS. So, what to do next. I have a simple solution to this problem. I was going through the playstore and found an amazing app called WebLive wallpaper which promises to do exactly what you’ve only dreamt of.
Developed by Michael Haar, WebLiveWallpaper is in the beta stage but works perfectly on any Android device. It has very smooth and intuitive user interface which gives a state-of-art experience for users to set web content as live wallpaper. The app allows you set an Internet Webcam, Image Gallery or a Website as your live wallpaper. It becomes quiet fascinating to watch live webcam streaming from your device’s homescreen.
WebLive Wallpaper – Key Features

- Display images from Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, etc.
- Show static images from a webcam.
- Set webcam stream as Live wallpaper

- Link to playstore – WebLive Wallpaper .
How to do it ??
#1. Download & install the app from the above link. To set any web content (webcam, image or website) as your wallpaper, keep holding the HOME Button till a dialogue box prompts. Select Wallpapers from the list.
#2. Next, Select Live wallpaper option then select WebLive Wallpaper. Now, from the interface you can select any website you want as the live wallpaper. To confirm, Select Set as Live wallpaper.
#3. If the above method doesn’t suit you. Go directly to the browser and open any of your favourite site which you want as the Live wallpaper. Now, long press the URL and click Share and then choose “WebLiveWallpaper”.
Altogether, I find this app very useful as it helps me to stay updated with the breaking news right from my home screen. The UI is quiet smooth and attractive. Added advantage being that you can monitor security cameras right from your Android phone without any need to have any external device. I personally recommend you to try this at least one. And, remember don’t forget to say thanks to the developers.
